![]() Thanks for the reply Rudeney I just thought that by starting a new thread which will pop on the top it may get little more attention thats all. The fuel pump could be weak or you could have a fuel line leak due to shrinking seals in cold weather. went out later that day and had to push gas to floor to get the car to start and the car smelled like it was flooded. when i went to put car back in garage the car started but did not sound normal. left the car out overnight for the first time and temp dropped below freezing. I have owned my car for 19 months and no problems till new years. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C II 203 07 c230 wont start when outside temps drop Any way to test it without STAR does my car have an ignition I know its not common for the ECUs to be damaged but it happens. How could that be if i have a rear SAM that wasnt from the exact same car Anyway I will try reinstalling the old crank position sensor today after work and see what happens. Oneįuel gauge works correctly as well as all other gauges. And you are correct that the most typical symptom of a failed CPS is non-starting when hot. Unfortunately I dont believe that can be fixed by coding the SAM - I think you have to replace the fuel sender to work with the revised SAM. Like I said there were some changes during MY2002 for a different style fuel sender so this could be the problem. The rear SAM does have to be installed to be coded. Couldnt hear fuel pump so yanked that bad boy out and tested We replaced the Crankshaft position sensor still didnt start. It cranks like it wants too but doesnt actually turn over. I supervise Car drove great came home parked it went back out and it wouldnt start. Also my boyfriend is the one working on the car since Im 9 months pregnant. Im new to this forum so I hope I posted in the right area. MERCEDES BENZ CLASS C II 203 c230 Kompressor cranking but not ease help
